What you’ll be doing

Lead and manage the mine planning and technical services teams, providing guidance, mentorship and driving continuous improvement Develop and implement comprehensive mine plans to optimise production, productivity and resource utilisation Conduct feasibility studies, economic analyses and technical assessments to support strategic decision‑making Ensure compliance with all relevant mining regulations and industry best practices Collaborate cross‑functionally to integrate mine planning activities with other operational departments Monitor and analyse mining performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement Represent the department in management meetings and contribute to the overall business strategy What we’re looking for

Minimum 8 years of experience in mine planning and technical services roles within the mining industry Strong technical expertise in mine design, production scheduling, equipment selection and resource estimation Proven ability to lead and motivate cross‑functional teams to deliver on operational objectives Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail Thorough understanding of mining regulations, safety protocols and environmental considerations Effective communication and stakeholder management skills Relevant tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering, Geology or a related field
