Department Head HSE - Mining Industry

Industry: Mining Job Summary The Department Head HSE is responsible for leading all Health, Safety, and Environmental functions at the mining site, ensuring full compliance with regulations and promoting a strong safety culture across operations.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies and procedures in line with government regulations and company standards

Ensure compliance with mining safety laws, environmental regulations, and SMKP requirements

Lead site risk assessments, hazard identification, and mitigation planning

Oversee environmental management programs (waste management, water monitoring, reclamation, etc.)

Conduct routine inspections and audits to ensure safe operations

Lead incident investigations and implement corrective & preventive actions

Develop and deliver HSE training programs for employees and contractors

Monitor HSE performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives

Prepare weekly and monthly HSE reports for management

Coordinate with operations, engineering, and external stakeholders regarding safety matters

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field

Minimum 5 years experience as HSE Head in mining industry

Mandatory certifications: AMDAL, POM, K3, SMKP

Strong leadership and team management skills

Good communication skills in English

Willing to work on roster system at site
