Job Description
In this position, you will be part of the Investment Valuation Services team which is responsible for the investment monitoring and valuation process in our private equity and private royalties investments. You will:
Ongoing monitoring and tracking of the performance of assets throughout the investment period
Perform valuation for our investments using one of the commonly acceptable valuation methodologies
Prepare reports/materials on investment valuation ensuring highest quality
Analyze and understand trends and drivers of valuation by working on various data analytic tasks related to our investment platform's data trend, clients' requests and other insights related to valuation
Take on responsibility for certain operational tasks and projects related to the overall monitoring and valuation framework in Partners Group
Collaborate with various teams within Partners Group as well as with external parties (service providers, auditors etc.) on monitoring and valuation related matters
What we expect
Bachelor degree, preferably in Accounting and/or Finance (CFA candidate or charter holder is a plus)
1-2 years of work experience in the financial industry (ideally private equity, valuation advisory or accounting)
Basic knowledge of the different categories of investment instruments (debt/equity) and valuation methodologies
Competent with SQL queries, basic programming or business analytics software such as Microsoft Power BI and Qliksense
Proficient in MS Office, Bloomberg and S&P Capital IQ
Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
Self-directed, able to manage and complete tasks effectively within demanding deadlines
Strong desire to learn and succeed
Strong analytical skills, detail-oriented and good at data interpretation
