Key Responsibilities
Develop and design innovative menus that cater to diverse dietary needs while promoting healthy, sustainable eating
Oversee kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation and presentation, maintaining exceptional hygiene and safety standards
Manage kitchen staff, providing training, mentorship, and performance evaluations to build a cohesive team
Control food costs and inventory management, minimizing waste while ensuring quality and freshness of ingredients
Collaborate with management to plan special events, catering, and promotional food offerings that elevate our brand experience
Stay up to date with culinary trends, incorporating new techniques and ingredients to keep our menus fresh and exciting
Requirements
Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar leadership role in a high-volume kitchen (5+ years preferred)
Certificate in Culinary Arts or relevant degree
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team
Proficient in menu development and culinary techniques
Understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations
Passion for sustainability and sourcing local ingredients where possible
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Creativity and innovation in the kitchen, with a commitment to excellence
