Job Description Key Responsibilities Compliance & Integrity Framework

Lead the development and ongoing enhancement of a regional business integrity and ethics compliance framework, aligned with global standards and tailored to local regulatory requirements.

Ensure effective implementation of policies relating to anti‑bribery and corruption, interactions with government officials, competition law, data privacy, product promotion, and conflicts of interest.

Translate complex regulatory requirements into clear, operational guidance for business teams operating in a highly regulated FMCG context.

Regulatory Risk & Government Interaction

Advise on compliance risks associated with government engagement, licensing, inspections, product registration, promotional practices, and regulatory submissions.

Support the business in navigating regulatory audits, inspections, and enforcement actions, working closely with Legal, Regulatory Affairs, and Quality functions.

Monitor and assess regulatory developments across the region and proactively advise on impact and mitigation strategies.

Training, Awareness & Ethical Culture

Design and deliver mandatory, risk‑based compliance training programs for employees, management, and relevant third parties, with emphasis on regulated activities and enforcement risk.

Drive consistent ethics and compliance messaging across the region, reinforcing a "tone from the top" and culture of accountability.

Provide day‑to‑day advisory support on ethical dilemmas, gifts and hospitality, third‑party engagements, and marketing compliance.

Monitoring, Investigations & Enforcement

Establish and oversee compliance monitoring, testing, and internal control mechanisms, including risk assessments and compliance metrics.

Lead or supervise internal investigations into alleged misconduct, ensuring procedural fairness, confidentiality, and defensible outcomes.

Coordinate remediation plans, disciplinary actions, and control enhancements in partnership with HR, Internal Audit, and senior management.

Third‑Party & Commercial Compliance

Design and manage third‑party compliance programs covering distributors, agents, suppliers, and other intermediaries common in regulated FMCG markets.

Oversee due diligence, contracting standards, and ongoing monitoring of high‑risk third parties.

Advise on compliance aspects of sales incentives, promotional activities, sponsorships, and marketing practices within strict regulatory boundaries.

Regional Leadership & Global Alignment

Serve as the regional compliance lead, partnering with Global Compliance and Legal teams to ensure consistent implementation of global standards.

Provide regular reporting to regional leadership and contribute to Board or Audit Committee updates on compliance risks and program effectiveness.

Act as a regional subject‑matter expert on ethics and integrity matters in a regulated consumer environment.

The Successful Applicant Qualifications & Experience

Minimum 12 years of experience in compliance, ethics, regulatory, or legal roles within a multinational and highly regulated environment.

Demonstrated experience designing and enforcing ethics and compliance programs across multiple jurisdictions.

Strong background in regulatory compliance, investigations, and training, ideally within FMCG sectors subject to enhanced regulatory oversight.

In‑depth knowledge of anti‑bribery and corruption laws, regulatory enforcement trends, competition law, data protection, and third‑party risk management.

Proven ability to engage credibly with senior management, regulators, and cross‑functional stakeholders.

Key Competencies

Strong regulatory judgment and risk‑based decision‑making.

Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills in a matrixed organization.

High integrity, independence, and discretion.

Ability to balance commercial objectives with strict compliance and regulatory expectations.

Comfortable operating in high‑scrutiny, audit‑heavy environments.
