Structural Fitter

Job Description The role involves fabricating, cutting, preparing, and fitting structural or piping components to precise tolerances specified in the relevant specifications, drawings, and WPS. The fitter must ensure compliance with HSE policy and any overriding company policies, inspect tools and equipment before use, and report any defects to the foreman.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

Responsible and accountable for ensuring that good housekeeping discipline is employed at all times while carrying out daily tasks.

Attend all Toolbox Talks.

Report to the foreman in a timely manner any obstacles which are likely to impede the crew's ability to meet targets.

Continually observe and communicate any ideas for improvement in quality or productivity to the Fitter Foreman.

Maintain clear traceability of all material cut‑offs by transferring the material identification in accordance with the project quality plan, prior to cutting.

Avoid damage to substrate materials by employing good moving and handling techniques and also protecting material during fabrication.

Responsible for fully understanding instructions and the expectations of productivity and quality.

Maintain a high standard of safe working practice, quality, and productivity while complying with the Code of Business Conduct.

Qualifications

Minimum senior high school graduate.

Possess fitting experience.
