Mechanical Design Engineer (MHS)

Responsibilities

Develop basic and detailed engineering works in a professional Engineering organisation under the direction of the senior Discipline Leader / Manager.

Identify, propose and implement area for improvements to improve plant / system reliability and maintainability.

Work with Engineering and Construction personnel in the office and site to understand the key issues and identify ways to improve the Project Design and Construction using sound Engineering practices.

Develop Process / Utility Flow Diagrams (PFD’s / UFD’s) and Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID’s) to best industry practice and international Standards.

Prepare design information and documentation for Projects; Reports, Design Criteria, Specifications, Data Sheets, Technical Queries, Meeting Minutes, etc. in English.

Design supporting systems for OEM equipment.

Coordinate Design / Drafting Staff.

Support Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning phases of projects with activities including assisting with preparation of material estimates (MTO’s), design packages, Operations & Maintenance Manuals.

Ensure the appropriate Design, Construction and Operational procedures are followed during the execution of a Project.

Undertake Vendor inspections, FAT’s, Fabrication Quality & Progress reviews, develop Reports.

Requirements

Minimum bachelor degree from reputable University majoring in Mechanical Engineering or related field of study.

Minerals Project Experience; Materials Handling Systems, Minerals Process Plants including both Design and Field experience.

Minimum seven (8) years relevant experience in last 10 years.

Strong understanding of Design for Process Plants, Crushing Systems & Conveyors.

Computer literate. Strong in Word, Excel, relevant engineering software.

Specifically strong Helix Software modelling (or similar) experience.

Team work and good communication skills, including English.

Ability to work with multi-discipline projects and prioritise works in an overlapping project environment.

Position is Jakarta-based with site work as required. Flexible to travel.

Office is at Grand Galaxy City, South Bekasi. Reliable home commuting distance is required.

Appointment will be subject to passing a Company Medical Test.
