Structural Design Tecnician - CAD & Structural Modelling

Location: Jakarta Type: Full-Time Start Date: Immediately About the Role We’re looking for a Structural Design Technician with a strong foundation in technical drawing and a working understanding of structural modelling and design logic. This role bridges CAD production with structural coordination, supporting global EPC projects of high industrial structures such as chimneys, steel stacks, ducting towers, and silos.

You’ll assist the Engineering Design Director and senior engineers by translating structural intent into clear, editable CAD deliverables used for fabrication and construction.

Key Responsibilities

Create accurate 2D/3D technical drawings: general layout, sections, and fabrication details for steel and concrete structures.

Interpret structural concepts: load paths, bracing systems, supports, and connection logic.

Incorporate design data from structural modelling tools (MIDAS/SAP) into drawing deliverables.

Draft and revise construction documents with clarity, correct layering, and drawing standard compliance.

Support detailing of plate work, stiffeners, anchor bolts, expansion joints, and access systems.

Coordinate closely with engineers to adapt drawings based on site constraints, engineering changes, and structural feasibility.

Maintain drawing file versioning and sheet tracking for fabrication review and submission.

(Optional) Support Bill of Material/Quantity extraction workflows where needed.

Requirements

D3/S1 in Civil Engineering or related field

Proficient in 2D CAD drafting; 3D or parametric drafting is a plus

Familiarity with structural modelling workflows (MIDAS Gen/Civil preferred)

Able to read engineering calculations and translate into structural layouts

Attention to drafting detail and revision discipline

Prior experience with industrial projects (chimneys, towers, ducting, tanks) is a plus

Willing to learn new workflows (BIM, other Structural Modelling) over time
