Job Description
Ensures that furniture products—from design to end-of-life—comply with safety, environmental, and qualityregulations while maintaining profitability and brand standards. They act as a bridge between productdevelopment, manufacturing, quality control, and legal departments to ensure “fair value” and safe outcomes forcustomers.
What You Will Do
Regulatory Compliance & Safety : Monitor, interpret, and implement compliance with safety standards andenvironmental regulations.
Product Lifecycle Governance : Oversee the Product Development, Approval and Management process fromconception to discontinuation.
Quality Assurance & Standards : Implement policies to ensure products meet defined quality, durability,and safety standards before, during, and after launch.
Fair Value & Risk Assessments : Conduct, maintain, and report on regular fair value assessments toensure products provide intended value to customers and minimize business risk.
Stakeholder Management : Collaborate with designers, suppliers, and marketing teams to embed governanceprinciples into the product design and marketing process.
Performance Monitoring : Monitor product performance, customer complaints, and returns to identifyissues and implement remedial actions.
Documentation Management : Manage product technical files, compliance documentation, and ensure productliterature (labels, manuals) are accurate.
Key Qualifications
Experience: Proven experience in product governance, quality assurance, compliance, or regulatory affairswithin manufacturing, retail, or a related industry.
Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of furniture manufacturing processes, safety standards, andsustainability/environmental regulations (e.g., FSC).
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data from complaints, returns, and market trends to drive improvements.
Communication: Excellent stakeholder management skills to influence teams and communicate complex regulatoryrequirements.
Education: A degree in a relevant field (e.g., Product Management, Engineering, Quality Management) is oftenrequired.
Risk Mitigation: Proactively identifying and managing potential product risks.
Attention to Detail: Ensuring meticulous compliance with standards and documentation.
Strategic Thinking: Aligning product development with company standards and regulatory changes.
Collaboration: Working across diverse teams to foster a culture of quality.
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit, stand, and move for extended periods, including walking through office and warehouse spaces.
Frequent use of hands and fingers for computer work, sketching, and handling material samples.
Occasional lifting and carrying of materials, samples, and product prototypes.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally for supplier visits, trade shows, and design developmentmeetings.
Visual acuity to assess product details, colors, and finishes accurately.
Ability to adapt to various work environments, including office settings and warehouses.
Occasional bending, kneeling, or reaching to inspect products or review samples.

Pay range: Up to 280 million per year.
1X THR (based on THP) per year.
