Role Description We are seeking a

Formulation Development Specialist

to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis at our manufacturing facility in Cibitung. This role plays a critical part in developing innovative cosmetic products, reformulating existing items, and ensuring that all formulations meet stringent quality and regulatory standards. The selected candidate will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to support product development activities from laboratory trials to initial production, helping to drive innovation and operational excellence across the Hair & Decorative category.

Develop new product formulas or reformulate existing ones in the Hair & Decorative category.

Monitor initial production trials to ensure product results meet required quality standards and specifications.

Source and coordinate with suppliers to obtain raw materials needed for formula development.

Conduct product evaluations and troubleshoot issues related to formulation stability, performance, or safety.

Oversee and review the entire formula development process to ensure alignment with schedules, technical specifications, and company targets.

Track and manage project timelines for all formula development activities within the Hair & Decorative category.

Prepare documentation required for formula registration, raw material purchase orders (PO), and production process guidelines, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in MIPA (Natural Sciences), Pharmacy, Science, or related fields.

Minimum 1 year of experience in formula development within the FMCG or cosmetics industry.

Strong knowledge and operational skills in handling chemicals and laboratory equipment (e.g., pH meters, precision scales).

Deep understanding of cosmetic formulation technology, particularly for Hair & Decorative products.

Highly detail‑oriented with strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.

Able to address formulation issues effectively and propose technical improvements.
