Working Location:
Site Based – West Sumbawa
Responsibilities
Responsible for monitoring and expediting procurement, fabrication, and delivery of project materials and equipment to ensure compliance with project schedules. The expeditor coordinates between Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC), vendors, logistics providers, and project management teams to maintain material readiness for project execution.
Procurement & Material Expediting
Arrange that all required materials & tools for the project are available and meet the requirements
Collaborate with procurement, logistics, fleet and support personnel for updates on delivery timelines
Maintain communication with Supervisors, Foremen and Construction personnel to ensure that all material & tool for the project meet required specifications
Obtain the high‑level project material, tool and equipment available for all projects
Work together with procurement, logistics, fleet and support personnel on material, tool and equipment handling and delivery
Monitor procurement cycle from purchase order issuance through manufacturing, inspection, and delivery
Follow up with vendors to ensure materials and equipment are delivered according to project schedule
Track fabrication progress of critical equipment
Identify potential delays and elevate risks to the project team
Maintain communication with vendors regarding production status and shipment schedules
Ensure vendors comply with contractual delivery dates and project specifications
Coordinate with vendors to resolve production issues impacting delivery timelines
Progress Monitoring & Reporting
Track procurement progress using material status reports and expediting logs
Provide weekly expediting reports including fabrication progress, delivery schedules, and risks
Maintain visibility of long‑lead items and critical equipment
Inspection & Documentation Coordination
Coordinate with QC for vendor inspections
Ensure all documentation, certificates, and inspection reports are complete before shipment
Logistics & Delivery Monitoring
Coordinate with logistics teams to ensure timely shipment to project site
Monitor shipment schedules and compliance with transportation requirements
Track material arrival status and readiness for construction
Project Schedule Integration
Work with project controls to ensure procurement progress aligns with project schedule
Support mitigation strategies when material delivery risks impact the critical path
Identify supply chain risks and provide proactive recommendations to prevent project delays
Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain or equivalent
Minimum 5–7 years of experience in procurement expediting or project supply chain, with at least 4 years in a similar expeditor role
Ability to interpret project schedules and procurement trackers; monitor daily project operational requirements and prepare accurate weekly manpower reports; identify, verify, and source required project materials, tools, and equipment; execute additional tasks to support ongoing project operations
Skill in coordinating material, tool, and equipment handling and delivery processes with procurement, logistics, fleet, and support teams
Knowledge of EPC procurement processes; understanding of fabrication processes for mechanical, structural, and electrical equipment
Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with Supervisors, Foremen, and construction personnel regarding material and tool specifications; strong coordination and follow‑up capability; negotiation skills; problem‑solving and analytical thinking, time management and prioritization
Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written); computer literate; familiarity with systems such as SAP, Oracle, or project procurement tools
