As a Key Account Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth and deepening strategic partnerships with key customers across the core consumer fragrance segments including Fabric Care, Skin Cleansing and Surface Care. The role requires a commercially agile, detail-oriented professional with strong project management capabilities and a passion for building lasting client relationships. You will contribute directly to the achievement of Symrise Indonesia's overall sales and strategic objectives while safeguarding client relationships in a highly competitive market.
Responsibilities
Lead and grow sales within the assigned portfolio, ensuring profitability and alignment with Symrise's strategic objectives.
Develop and execute short- to mid-term business development plans tailored to customers' evolving needs and the beauty care category.
Identify, pursue, and convert new opportunities, expanding the footprint within customers' ecosystems.
Act as the primary interface for day-to-day operations and strategic discussions with clients.
Build and maintain a robust project pipeline, personally driving key initiatives from ideation through to execution.
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams (Sales, Marketing, Technical, Supply Chain) to ensure flawless delivery and responsiveness.
Monitor and analyse market trends, category developments, and competitor activity, feeding actionable insights into strategic planning.
Deliver accurate sales forecasts and take full ownership of financial performance for the account.
Leverage data and insights to support pricing strategies, margin optimisation and growth projections.
Ensure timely resolution of customer issues and complaints with a solutions-oriented mindset.
Support all customer requirements including pricing documentation, logistics coordination, and supply chain alignment.
Uphold and promote Symrise's vision, values and ethical standards in all internal and external interactions.
The Ideal Candidate
Minimum 5 years of commercial experience in the B2B fragrance industry, ideally with direct responsibility for global or key local accounts.
Proven expertise in fragrance evaluation with a deep understanding of olfactive profiling and consumer preferences, particularly in Personal Care/Home Care.
Strong track record of business wins, demonstrating strategic thinking, customer engagement and category knowledge within the beauty care industry.
Skilled in defining and delivering customer-centric fragrance strategies, leveraging solution-based selling, clear communication and precise execution in complex, fast-paced environments.
Ability to translate data and consumer insights into commercially impactful initiatives and customer-relevant solutions.
Creative and brand-savvy thinker capable of crafting innovative fragrance solutions that elevate brand identity and deliver engaging, competitive presentations.
Capable of leading technical discussions, managing complex projects and mobilising cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality results efficiently.
Adept at building and nurturing strong relationships with customers, key stakeholders and internal teams, acting as a trusted partner and strategic advisor.
Self-driven, highly motivated with a proactive mindset and the ability to work independently.
