Head of Business Development – Strategy & Product-Market Expansion
We’re building a platform that unlocks the vast, untapped potential of microbial natural products—driving innovation across biopharma, agriculture, cosmetics, and beyond. As Head of Business Development, you will work closely with the CEO to define strategy, shape product offerings, and execute high-value partnerships that accelerate global impact.
Responsibilities
Drive market selection, positioning, and deal strategy alongside the CEO
Own the end-to-end business development cycle: prospecting, qualification, pitch, negotiation, and closing
Translate platform capabilities into compelling offers and go-to-market plays
Align internal R&D, operations, and commercial teams with partner needs
Contribute to strategic narratives and fundraising materials
Qualifications
8+ years in business development or sales within biotech, pharma, or deeptech life sciences
Proven track record with complex, high-value B2B deals
Experience defining offers and positioning platforms across multiple markets
Skilled negotiator with experience closing partnership agreements (research collaborations, licensing, discovery services, etc.)
Excellent strategic thinking, autonomy, and communication
Fluent in English (French is a plus but not required)
Experience selling small-molecule discovery or R&D platforms
Exposure to synthetic biology, microbial natural products, or adjacent technologies
Experience in early-stage biotech and building go-to-market strategies from scratch
