Mechanical Technician

About the role We are seeking a talented Mechanical Technician to join our team at PT Citra Tubindo Tbk' in Batam, Kepulauan Riau on a contract basis. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining and repairing our mechanical systems, ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of our production processes.

What you’ll be doing

Perform scheduled and preventive maintenance on a variety of mechanical equipment and systems.

Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with machinery, identify root causes, and implement appropriate solutions.

Carry out repairs and modifications to mechanical components to restore proper function and performance.

Document work activities, maintenance records, and recommendations for process improvements.

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize downtime.

Adhere to all safety protocols and best practices to ensure a safe work environment.

What we’re looking for

Minimum 3 years of experience as a Mechanical Technician or in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.

Strong technical knowledge and understanding of mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical components.

Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and maintenance manuals.

Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve complex mechanical issues.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team to ensure the smooth operation of production equipment.

A safety‑first mindset and commitment to following all safety protocols and procedures.

Must possess a Kemenaker/BNSP welding certification with a minimum qualification of 3G and TKBT.

It is also preferable to have an OHC certification (optional).
