Chief Accountant (for Secondment)

Chief Accountant – Secondment to Client Office Forvis Mazars in Indonesia is looking for a

Chief Accountant

to be seconded to our client office for 12 months.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with PSAK/IFRS.

Ensure timely month‑end and year‑end closing processes.

Coordinate with external auditors and manage the annual audit process.

Accounting Operations

Oversee all general ledger functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory accounting, fixed assets, and cash management.

Ensure accurate and timely recording of transactions across all accounting areas.

Monitor and maintain effective internal control systems and policies.

Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and key financial documentation.

Management Support

Provide financial insights and analysis to support business decision‑making.

Prepare budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.

Prepare ad‑hoc financial and operational reports for management.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Professional certification (CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent) preferred.

Minimum 8 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.

Experience in FMCG or a fast‑paced multinational environment is highly preferred.

External auditor experience is a plus.

Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS/PSAK).

Strong understanding of ERP systems.

Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
