Project Director Location: New York, NY

Role at SBI Consultants, LLC – a leader in engineering consulting with over 20 years of experience. This full‑time position offers a salary range of $190,000 – $250,000 plus performance and profit‑sharing bonuses.

Key Responsibilities

Lead program and portfolio management, overseeing multiple complex projects simultaneously and ensuring alignment with organizational strategy.

Develop and implement standardized project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.

Provide strategic business development support: lead proposal development, client presentations, and negotiation of project scope and terms.

Manage financial performance: develop budgets, forecasts, and financial metrics; monitor invoicing, collections, and cash flow.

Build and maintain strategic client relationships, serving as senior point of contact.

Lead, mentor, and develop project teams, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Develop and implement risk and change management strategies, ensuring regulatory compliance.

Contribute to strategic planning and company initiatives, identifying innovation opportunities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering from an accredited university.

10+ years of industry experience; at least 5 years in senior project management roles.

Track record of managing multiple complex projects from business development to closeout.

Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Advanced knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.

Financial acumen and business management experience.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CAD/BIM tools, Bluebeam; ERP knowledge related to construction management.

PE, PMP, or similar certifications strongly desirable.
