About the RoleThe Senior Project Manager – Power Plant Development will lead the end-to-end execution of geothermal power plant development projects — from detailed engineering and procurement through construction, commissioning, and operational handover.The role will oversee complex mega capital project interfaces including drilling operations, surface facilities development, contractor management, permitting processes, and stakeholder engagement.This position plays a critical role in enabling Star Energy Geothermal’s capacity expansion strategy and long-term renewable energy growth.
Key ResponsibilitiesEnd-to-End Project LeadershipLead the full lifecycle of geothermal power plant development projects including engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover to operations.
Project Planning & ControlsDevelop and manage integrated project plans covering scope, schedule, cost, risk, quality, safety, and stakeholder management.
Contractor & Interface ManagementOversee EPC/EPCC contractors, consultants, and vendors while ensuring seamless coordination across engineering, drilling, procurement, construction, and operations teams.
Risk ManagementIdentify and mitigate key project risks including subsurface uncertainty, drilling challenges, permitting requirements, technical integration risks, and stakeholder issues.
Stakeholder EngagementManage engagement with government authorities, regulators, PLN, local communities, landowners, and strategic partners to support successful project execution.
Project Governance & ReportingProvide structured reporting to senior leadership on project performance, risks, and key decision points.
QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Geothermal, or related discipline)Master’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or Business Administration is an advantagePMP or equivalent project management certification preferredRelevant SHE certifications (NEBOSH, AK3, or equivalent) are advantageous
ExperienceMinimum 15 years of experience managing major capital projects in energy, power generation, geothermal, or oil & gasProven track record delivering large infrastructure or power generation projectsExperience managing EPC/EPCC contracts and multidisciplinary engineering teamsStrong understanding of power plant development, drilling integration, and surface facilities
