Job Description

Job Overview The Procurement Manager will lead and manage all aspects of the procurement lifecycle, including strategic sourcing, supplier selection, negotiation, purchasing operations, contract management, supplier performance, cost control, and risk mitigation. You will partner with internal stakeholders to understand needs, forecast demand, and deliver value through efficient and effective procurement practices that support the company’s operational and financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities Strategic Procurement & Sourcing Lead the strategic sourcing process to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capability, reliability, and fits with company goals. Conduct market analysis and value assessments to optimize supplier selection and total cost of ownership. Develop and implement long-term sourcing strategies to secure quality materials and services. Coordinate and lead formal RFP/RFQ/RFI processes. Build and maintain supplier databases and approved vendor lists. Supplier Relationship & Contract Management Establish and maintain effective relationships with key suppliers. Negotiate contracts, pricing, service terms, and partnership agreements that protect company interests. Monitor supplier performance against agreed service levels and quality standards. Collaborate with legal and operations to ensure contract compliance. Purchasing & Operational Management Oversee end-to-end purchasing activities: review purchase requisitions (PRs), approve or issue purchase orders (POs), and ensure timely delivery. Work closely with inventory, logistics, finance, and operations to coordinate on demand planning and delivery schedules. Monitor inventories, budget adherence, and expenditure trends. Ensure accuracy of purchasing documentation, invoices, and records. Performance, Risk & Compliance Analyze procurement data and KPIs to identify savings opportunities and process improvements. Implement procurement policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and compliance controls. Evaluate risk factors such as supplier dependency, market dynamics, and delivery reliability. Team Leadership & Collaboration Lead, mentor, and develop procurement and purchasing teams. Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, operations, quality, logistics, and other teams to align procurement efforts with business goals.

Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred). Proven experience in procurement, sourcing, contract negotiation, and purchasing (typically 5+ years). Strong negotiation, analytical, and cost-control skills. Excellent communication, leadership, team building, and stakeholder management skills. Familiarity with procurement tools, ERP systems, and purchase-to-pay (P2P) platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Ariba). Experience with contract review, compliance standards, and supplier performance management.
