Senior Process Engineer - FMCG/Pharma

About Our Client The company is a well-established organisation within the Industrial / Manufacturing sector, known for its robust engineering and manufacturing operations. It has a significant presence and a reputation for delivering quality and innovation in its field. Job Description I. Liquid Process Engineering - Dairy & Beverages Interpret and understand technical requirements from contracts and sales. Develop P&IDs with tags and sizing for process systems in coordination with the design team. Create utility P&IDs and schematics as needed. Prepare technical RFQs for process components, valves, and equipment. Prepare technical RFQs for process instrumentation. Prepare technical RFQs for utility-related components and valves. Define technical specifications for process tanks, manage ordering, and review/approve GA drawings. Prepare utility consumption lists. Handle equipment ordering and provide technical clarifications to suppliers. Develop comprehensive equipment lists detailing components and systems. Create process descriptions for automation requirements. Support automation FAT and follow up on corrective actions. Assist in preparing BOMs for installation.

II. Layouts & Installation Support Develop equipment layouts together with the design team. Review piping 3D layouts in collaboration with the design team. Review valve matrices/clusters in 3D according to process requirements. Review installation materials and support the design team or project manager as needed. Provide information and clarifications to the site installation team. Conduct final installation inspections and walkthroughs to ensure alignment with P&IDs.

III. Process Commissioning Assist the project manager in developing commissioning schedules. Support I/O testing, instrument setting, and calibration with the automation team. Perform flushing of process lines and equipment; carry out water-based sequence tests. Conduct CIP testing and commissioning for all equipment and process units. Perform product testing, parameter setting, and trial runs. Train operators and prepare training materials and process operation documents. Support project closure activities, punchlist completion, and initial production assistance.

IV. Additional Process Engineering Support Assist the sales team with technical reviews, solution development, and utility estimations. Work with the service team to troubleshoot issues and develop process solutions, including execution support. Contribute to standardization efforts for liquid process systems. Guide and mentor junior process engineers in design and commissioning tasks.

The Successful Applicant A successful Senior Process Engineer should have: A strong educational background in engineering or a related field. Proven experience in process optimisation within the Industrial / Manufacturing sector. Knowledge of engineering principles and manufacturing processes. Familiarity with industry standards and regulations. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Strong communication and documentation skills.
