Job Description
Supervisor – Assistant Manager Purchasing
Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Industrial Engineering, Accounting, or related field.
5–10 years in Purchasing/Procurement.
At least 2 years in a supervisory role (Assistant Manager level preferred).
Experience in manufacturing/SPM industry is highly preferred.
Strong understanding of supply chain and procurement processes.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Accurate, etc.) is an advantage.
Knowledge of cost analysis and pricing structure.
Understanding of import procedures is a plus
Key Responsibilities
1. Procurement Planning & Execution
Manage the procurement process for goods and services based on production and operational requirements.
Ensure material availability in the right quantity, quality, and timeline.
Prepare and control purchasing plans based on Masterlist and project schedule.
Monitor Purchase Requisitions (PR) through to Purchase Orders (PO).
Source, evaluate, and develop suppliers/vendors.
Negotiate pricing, quality standards, payment terms, and lead times.
Maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure supply chain continuity.
Analyze pricing structures and implement cost reduction programs.
Compare quotations to obtain the most competitive pricing.
Control purchasing activities in accordance with the company budget.
Prepare monthly cost-saving reports for management review.
4. Administration & Documentation
Ensure all purchasing documents are properly recorded and maintained.
Verify accuracy between PO, invoices, and supporting documents.
Coordinate with the Finance Department regarding supplier payments.
Prepare monthly purchasing reports for management.
5. Internal Coordination
Coordinate with Production, Warehouse, Engineering, and Finance Departments.
Resolve issues related to late deliveries or non-conforming materials.
Supervise and manage the purchasing team.
6. Compliance & Audit Support
Ensure procurement processes comply with company SOP and policies.
Support internal and external audit processes.
Maintain transparency and integrity in procurement activities.
