Assistant Manager Accounting

Job Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting. Graduated from a reputable university.

Excellent in financial reporting and data analysis.

Have a minimum 5 years of experience in a related position.

Responsibilities

Ensure smooth financial operations at the assigned SPU, preparation and submission of financial records by ensuring data entered takes place on a weekly basis upon receipt and the sub-ledgers are posted to the General Ledger monthly.

Serve as the co-module owner of specific Oracle GL modules, limited to corporate ledger operations; also act as co-module owner for GL when Oracle Financials are implemented.

Ensure that VAT is properly recorded according to the company’s tax regulations on payments executed from regional office.

Ensure all accruals, provisions and advances are properly accounted for and any journal adjustments are supported by accurate supporting documents.

Prepare annual financial statements and liaise with auditors to finalize the annual audit on time.

Send interim and final debit notes to all locations by the 18th, 23rd and 2nd of the following month and ensure inter-location current accounts are properly reconciled.

Ensure all Bank Statements and source documents are received on time.

Maintain all proper documents at all times, including source documents, books of accounts, schedules such as provisions, advances, other debtors, etc.

Handle the amalgamation process and prepare the financial statements of the Company; future amalgamations of other companies will be notified as applicable.
