Production Painter

Production Painter – Caterpillar Inc.

As a Production Painter, you will inspect material, prepare surfaces, apply primer, top coat, and maintain 5S in the sub‑station.

Key Responsibilities

Inspect chemical materials.

Plán, sand, and apply correct layers – filler, sanding, primer, and top coat according to standards.

Operate oven, panel, and lighting equipment.

Clean gun, pump, sagola cup, and maintain 5S in the sub‑station.

Document in‑process validation.

Perform touch‑up and fill‑defect corrections.

Assist quality team during inspections.

Daily check of painting equipment.

Support team as needed for production continuity.

Document production data – serial number, material transfer logs, defects.

Participate in creating work standards and follow established methods.

Required Qualifications

High‑school diploma or equivalent vocational training.

Experience washing with phosphate.

Identify painting defects.

Mix and combine paint.

Check wet and dry film thickness.

Ability to work rotating shift system.

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Strong teamwork ability.

Desired Qualifications

Two years of experience in heavy‑equipment or related paint processing.

Certification training for work at heights.

Physical Requirements

Requires frequent active movement throughout the plant, including stairs, lifting, pushing, pulling equipment.

Additional Information

Shift: 3‑shift rotation.

Location: PT Caterpillar Indonesia Batam, Tanjung Uncang.
