Backend Engineer

Role Overview We are looking for a Backend Engineer (Golang) enthusiast to drive our efforts in transforming the Indonesian music industry. You won’t just be writing code; you will be building the functional core of a platform that supports thousands of local composers, ensuring their work is accessible and managed at a professional scale. As part of our engineering team, you will be responsible for building and optimizing the platform with the largest market share for local music catalogs in Indonesia. Your primary focus will be engineering a high-performance system capable of handling hundreds of thousands of catalogs and making Music Publishing accessible to everyone.

Key Responsibilities Scalable Backend Engineering: Design and develop robust backend systems and internal services following established industry and internal standards to ensure consistency and reliability. Modern Architecture Implementation: Build and maintain sophisticated architectures, including Microservices, Event-Driven systems, and Distributed Systems. High-Quality Engineering: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code that adheres to best practices, ensuring long-term system stability. Unit Testing & Test Automation: Develop and maintain comprehensive unit tests and automated test suites to ensure code reliability and long-term maintainability. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Frontend Engineers, QA, and Product Managers to define, develop, and ship impactful features. Modern DevOps Practices: Implement and advocate for engineering best practices, including CI/CD pipelines, to ensure a smooth and automated deployment process.

Qualifications and Requirements Professional Experience: 3-5 years of experience as a Backend Engineer, with a proven track record of building and maintaining high-impact systems. Core Technical Skills: Strong expertise in Golang and its ecosystem. Deep understanding of Algorithms, Data Structures, and Coding Standards. Solid knowledge of API Design principles and RESTful standards. Advanced knowledge of relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL. Experience with Message Brokers such as RabbitMQ or Kafka for event-driven systems. Practical knowledge of Linux basic commands, Git, and Unit Testing. Observability & Reliability: Proven experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack). Ability to debug and optimize performance in a production environment. Architecture & Design: Good understanding of System Design and Software Design principles for scalable applications. Familiarity with modern development workflows, such as Gitflow or Trunk-Based Development. Engineering Practices: Hands-on experience with Docker for containerization. Experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.

Nice to Have Experience with Kubernetes. Familiarity with Distributed Systems.
