Job Description
The PLC Engineer is responsible for designing, programming, installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining PLC-based control systems to ensure efficient, safe, and stable production operations.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop PLC programs according to machine and production process requirements.
Perform installation, commissioning, and testing of PLC and HMI systems.
Troubleshoot control systems, electrical panels, sensors, inverters, and other automation equipment.
Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on PLC systems.
Optimize control systems to improve production efficiency and minimize downtime.
Coordinate with Maintenance, Production, and Engineering teams for machine improvements and repairs.
Prepare technical documentation, including PLC programs, wiring diagrams, and reports.
Ensure all control systems comply with company safety standards and regulations.
Qualifications
Minimum Diploma (D3) or Bachelor’s Degree (S1) in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Industrial Automation.
Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a PLC Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of PLC systems such as Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron, or Allen Bradley.
Experience with HMI/SCADA systems.
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and panel wiring diagrams.
Strong troubleshooting skills.
Technical Skills:
Electrical troubleshooting
Automation system integration
Knowledge of sensors, inverters, and servo motors
