Role Overview

They are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Unit Director to lead and oversee all in-country operations, drive business growth, and ensure operational excellence. This role is pivotal in shaping their strategic presence, building strong client relationships, and delivering sustainable performance in line with global objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership : Develop and execute the country business plan aligned with regional and global strategy, including revenue targets, market share growth, and profitability goals.
P&L Ownership : Full accountability for the country's financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and revenue generation.
Business Development : Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities; build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
Operational Excellence : Ensure all operations are delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with QHSE standards, local regulations, and international best practices.
People Leadership : Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing in-country team. Drive a culture of accountability, collaboration, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
Stakeholder Management : Act as the primary point of contact for local authorities, regulatory bodies, joint venture partners, and key customers.
Nationalization & Talent Development : Champion local content initiatives and workforce development strategies in line with national requirements and commitment to local talent growth.
Contract Management : Oversee contract negotiations, execution, and compliance, ensuring commercial terms are optimized and risks are effectively managed.
Risk & Compliance : Ensure adherence to all corporate governance, ethics, legal, and compliance standards across the country operations.
Reporting : Provide regular business performance updates and market intelligence to regional leadership.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
Experience:
Minimum 10–15 years of progressive experience in the energy services / oilfield services sector.
At least 5 years in a senior leadership or country management role.
Proven track record in P&L management, business development, and operational leadership.
Strong experience managing multidisciplinary teams in multicultural environments.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Deep understanding of well services, well flow management, or related disciplines.
Demonstrated ability to drive growth in competitive markets.
Knowledge of local regulatory and compliance frameworks.
Strong negotiation and contract management capabilities.
Languages: English fluency required; additional local language proficiency is an advantage.
