Job Description

The Audit Assistant supports the finance team in examining financial records, assessing internal controls, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. The role involves assisting in audit, preparing documentation, and helping identify financial discrepancies.

Job Responsibilities

Perform basic audit procedures and testing.

Review financial statements, invoices, receipts, and ledgers.

Verify accuracy and completeness of accounting records.

Prepare working papers and audit documentation.

Record observations and report discrepancies.

Help evaluate internal controls.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards.

Assist in identifying financial and operational risks.

Analyze financial data using spreadsheets and accounting software.

Perform reconciliations and variance analysis.

Clarify financial information when necessary.

Assist in drafting audit reports.

Ensure all supporting documents are properly filed.

Any other adhoc tasks as assigned by your line manager from time to time.

Job Requirements

Bachelorโ€™s degree in Accounting or Finance

Basic knowledge of accounting principles and auditing standards

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP)

At least 2 years of experience in auditing
