DevOps Engineer

This requires more than just building an app. It requires building the underlying infrastructure that powers storage, search, processing, and reliability for a completely new type of system.

We are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to help build that foundation from the ground up. This is an onsite role based in Manado, Indonesia.

Why this role matters

As an Infrastructure , you will be responsible for building the core systems that make the platform reliable, scalable, and fast. You will design and build infrastructure that enables: Storage and delivery of millions of artwork files Fast and reliable search and retrieval systems File processing pipelines that generate production-ready outputs Deployment pipelines and production environments Systems that can scale as the platform grows Your work will directly determine how far and how fast Bikin.in can grow. This is not a maintenance role. You will be building systems from scratch. What you will do

Design and implement scalable backend infrastructure Build and manage artwork storage and processing pipelines Develop indexing and search infrastructure foundations Set up and maintain cloud infrastructure environments Build deployment pipelines and system monitoring Ensure system reliability, performance, and scalability Work closely with the founding team to shape technical architecture Requirements

3+ years experience in backend or infrastructure engineering Strong experience with at least one backend language (Go, Python, Node.js, or Java) Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Cloudflare, or similar) Solid understanding of databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL Comfortable working in Linux environments Experience with Docker and deployment workflows Strong system design and problem-solving skills Bonus: Experience with search infrastructure (Elasticsearch, OpenSearch) Experience with large-scale file storage systems Experience building scalable or high-traffic systems Why join Bikin.in
