Job Description
Corus International is seeking applications for a research co-lead to support an anticipated
3-year, $1.2 million
youth development intervention and research project in
Indonesia .
The project objectives are to: 1) examine how different models of youth engagement contribute to the development of prosocial behavior in youth, and 2) test adaptations of existing tools and practices to support youth development, including digital versus in-person modes of intervention delivery in shaping youth outcomes.
Corus International was formed through the strategic merger of IMA World Health (a public health organization since 1960) and Lutheran World Relief (a livelihoods organization since 1945). Today, it includes entities such as CGA Technologies, Ground Up Investing, and Farmers Market Coffee. Corus works in over 20 countries across Africa, the Middle East, and Latin America, primarily focusing on health, livelihoods, and emergency response.
Based in Indonesia, the
Research Co-Lead
will provide overall technical leadership, strategic support, and operational oversight for the project.
Duties:
Provide technical leadership for project activities, including:
Lead data collection and analysis
Develop research protocols, study instruments, project reports, and peer-reviewed manuscripts
Advise on innovative approaches for scaling up successful interventions in the region and beyond
Provide regular reports to the Corus-based Co-PI and team, highlighting successes, challenges, and lessons learned
Coordinate with partners to plan activities and submit research protocols to an Indonesia-based Institutional Review Board
Qualifications:
PhD in developmental psychology, social psychology, applied psychology, or related field
At least 7 years of senior experience leading or serving as Principal Investigator for applied evaluation and research in community or school settings in Indonesia
Advanced quantitative analysis skills, including proficiency in software such as Stata
Mid to advanced qualitative data analysis and interpretation skills
Peer-reviewed publication record in relevant fields
Success in securing external research funding from national and international donors
Experience with positive youth development intervention design
Ability to work collaboratively with teams, partners, and stakeholders
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including presentation skills
Leadership, team management, and decision-making skills, with cross-cultural communication ability
Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesian
Ability to work across time zones
