Construction Safety Coordinator

Gateway Search is proud to work with the service provider for turnkey power protection solutions. Due to their business expansion in Indonesia, they are looking to bring on board a qualified Safety Coordinator.

The Construction Safety Coordinator is responsible for implementing and monitoring Safety practices for a data center construction project. The role ensures compliance with Indonesian regulations and company safety standards to maintain a safe and controlled working environment across all construction activities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Regulatory Compliance Ensure compliance with Indonesian safety regulations and standards. Maintain valid safety documentation, permits, and site records. Support internal and external safety audits.

2. Site Safety Monitoring Conduct routine site inspections to identify unsafe acts and conditions. Monitor contractors and subcontractors to ensure adherence to safety procedures. Enforce proper use of PPE and safe work practices.

3. Risk Assessment & Control Review Job Safety Analysis (JSA), HIRADC, and Method Statements. Identify potential hazards and implement corrective and preventive actions. Support implementation of Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems where required.

4. Safety Training & Awareness Conduct safety induction for new workers and visitors. Lead toolbox meetings and safety briefings. Promote safety awareness and continuous improvement on site.

5. Incident Investigation & Reporting Investigate accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions. Prepare incident reports and follow up on corrective actions. Monitor and report safety performance indicators.

Requirements Minimum Diploma (D3) or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field Mandatory: Valid General Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Expert Certificate (Ahli K3 Umum) issued by the Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker), Indonesia Certified Electrical Safety Expert (Ahli K3 Listrik) – Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker), Indonesia will be an added advantage Minimum 3 years of safety experience in construction projects. Good knowledge of Indonesian safety regulations and construction safety practices. Strong communication and coordination skills.
