Position Summary:
The
Director of Rooms / Rooms Division Manager
provides strategic and operational leadership for all Rooms Division functions, ensuring seamless guest experiences, operational excellence, and brand alignment during and after the hotel’s conversion into Banyan Group. As a key member of the Executive Committee, this role oversees Front Office, Housekeeping, and related services, driving guest satisfaction, operational efficiency, and financial performance while embedding Banyan Group standards, culture, and service philosophy.
Key Responsibilities:
Rooms Operations & Guest Experience
Lead and oversee all Rooms Division operations, including Front Office, Housekeeping, and Guest Services, ensuring service excellence and consistency with Banyan Group standards.
Drive high levels of guest satisfaction through effective service delivery, quality assurance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure all rooms and public areas meet brand, cleanliness, safety, and maintenance standards.
Hotel Conversion & Brand Integration
Lead the Rooms Division transition during the hotel conversion, ensuring full alignment with Banyan Group brand standards, SOPs, and service culture.
Support pre- and post-conversion readiness, including systems, processes, training, and service enhancements.
Collaborate with Corporate and Regional teams to implement Banyan Group tools and best practices.
Financial & Performance Management
Prepare and manage the Rooms Division budget, forecasts, and cost controls in line with business objectives.
Work closely with Revenue Management and Sales & Marketing to optimize occupancy, room yield, and market mix.
Monitor KPIs, productivity, and departmental performance, implementing corrective actions where required.
Leadership & People Development
Build, lead, and develop a high-performing Rooms Division team, fostering engagement, accountability, and service excellence.
Support talent development, training, and succession planning in collaboration with Human Capital.
Ensure compliance with labor laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
Represent the Rooms Division on the Hotel Executive Committee.
Coordinate closely with other departments to ensure smooth operations, especially for VIPs, groups, and high-demand periods.
Act as a brand ambassador for Banyan Group standards and values.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5–7 years of experience in Rooms Division management within an international or branded hotel, with a preference for experience in the hospitality industry (Indonesia experience is a plus).
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or a related field.
Strong operational knowledge of Front Office and Housekeeping, with a proven ability to manage large teams.
Demonstrated leadership experience at Director of Rooms / Rooms Division Manager level or equivalent.
Solid financial acumen, including budgeting, cost control, and operational planning.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Proficient in hotel systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, change-driven environment.
Working Conditions:
Full-time position, based at Angsana Gunung Geulis Bogor, Indonesia, a conversion property under Banyan Group.
