About the Role We are looking for our client that hands-on

Data Engineer

to design scalable data models and build robust data pipelines that power operational systems and analytics workflows. You will own the end-to-end data backbone — from ingestion and staging to serving layers — ensuring performance, reliability, and data quality across the platform.

Requirements •

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field •

5+ years experience in Data Engineering

or backend data systems with production ownership • Strong SQL skills with PostgreSQL experience (schema design and performance tuning) • Proven experience in data modeling (normalized OLTP and reporting/serving models) • Proficiency in Python for pipeline development and automation • Experience with large-scale data systems and storage architectures • Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and reliability best practices

Preferred Qualification • Experience with object storage (S3 / MinIO) • Familiarity with OpenSearch / Elasticsearch • Exposure to AI/ML data workflows • Experience working in secure or regulated environments

Responsibilities • Design conceptual → logical → physical data models for operational and analytics use cases • Define schemas for OLTP and OLAP systems • Build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines (batch and near real-time) • Optimize database performance (indexing, partitioning, query tuning, materialized views) • Implement data quality validation, monitoring, and observability • Manage data promotion flows (Raw → Staging → Serving) including retention and reprocessing • Ensure pipelines are fault-tolerant, production-ready, and auditable • Collaborate with backend, DevOps, architecture, and product teams
