About the Role

A multinational consumer goods company is looking for a

Manufacturing Controller

to play a key role in driving factory performance. You will partner with plant leadership to manage costs, optimize operations, and deliver actionable financial insights that support smarter, faster decisions.

This role will be based at the head office in Jakarta, involves frequent business trips to support our factory operations in Bogor and Kendal.

Responsibility Own the manufacturing P&L with focus on COGS, conversion costs, and cost efficiency Lead standard costing, BOM validation, and cost roll-ups Analyze key cost variances and drive continuous cost optimization initiatives Partner with Plant/Factory leaders to track operational KPIs (OEE, efficiency, wastage, productivity) Support strategic decisions including make-vs-buy, outsourcing, and capacity planning Ensure strong inventory governance across RM, WIP, and FG, including reconciliation and audit support Work closely with Procurement & Logistics to manage material and supply chain costs Evaluate capex investments and deliver clear financial insights for decision making

Requirement Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field 8–10 years of experience in manufacturing/factory finance (FMCG is highly preferred) Mandatory hands-on experience working in plant or factory environments Experience in factory setup, commissioning, or expansion projects is a strong advantage Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory controls Proficiency in SAP (mandatory) with strong Excel and reporting skills Exposure to procurement or logistics finance is a plus
