Facilities Assistant (Nursing Home – Tanjong Katong)

Job Overview

Support the daily operations of the nursing home by maintaining the building, facilities, and essential services to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors. Key Responsibilities

Attend to service requests and carry out basic troubleshooting for building, mechanical, and electrical issues. Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and minor repair works. Coordinate and supervise contractors for maintenance, servicing, and renovation works. Assist with procurement activities and manage the medical supplies storeroom, including stock control. Monitor service vendors to ensure work is completed safely and to expected standards. Support operational needs such as laundry coordination and general facilities upkeep. Work closely with the Nursing team on ward stock and operational requirements. Assist in emergency preparedness and support visitor or donor activities when required. Requirements

NITEC / Higher NITEC / Diploma in Facilities Management, Building Services, Engineering, or a related field. Preferably with relevant experience in facilities, building maintenance, or engineering support. Hands‑on, responsible, and able to respond to operational needs promptly. Comfortable working in a healthcare or nursing home environment. A team player with good coordination skills.
