Installation Technician

to support our continuing growth and meet Customer's needs.

Safetech is Australia’s leading provider of lifting solutions and loading dock equipment and employs nearly 170 people Australia wide. Our client base includes many of Australia’s leading companies over a wide range of industries. We design and build complex lifting solutions for Australia’s major builders, factories, warehouses, hospitals, arts centres and the resource industry. Many of our products are exported or manufactured by partners internationally.

This position is located within the Adelaide, SA region where your job will be to install Safetech's extensive range of lifting and materials handling equipment. You will work with and be supported by an experienced, dynamic and innovative engineering team.

Responsibilities

Perform independent installation and inspection of equipment in the field in an expeditious manner while assuring the Customer's needs are met and exceeded

Plan and undertake installation of new equipment

Where required, perform repairs and planned maintenance

Accurately complete all necessary paperwork associated with installation and other required works including work sheets, time sheets and safety analysis sheets

Maintain complete and accurate service vehicle inventory according to the company guidelines and timely compliance with vehicle service, warehouse, tool and equipment maintenance requirements

Work closely with all other departments in the company

Other duties as required.

Qualifications and Attributes

Use of basic hand tools

Experience in field wiring

3 to 5 years experience with repairs, service and/or installation of hydraulic, mechanical and/or electrical equipment

Possess sound knowledge of hydraulic systems

Possess a good understanding of electrical and mechanical theory

Have the ability to adapt this knowledge to troubleshoot and repair equipment in the field.
