Malay Language (BM) Teacher IGCSE

Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and deliver Malay (BM) lessons based on the Cambridge IGCSE syllabus.

Develop lesson plans, teaching materials, assignments, and assessments aligned with curriculum standards.

Teach key language skills including reading, writing, listening, speaking, grammar, and literature.

Prepare students for internal assessments and Cambridge IGCSE examinations.

Monitor and evaluate students’ academic progress and provide constructive feedback.

Maintain effective classroom management and create a positive learning environment.

Encourage critical thinking, communication skills, and appreciation of the Malay language and culture.

Integrate technology (MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint) into teaching and learning.

Participate in school meetings, professional development, and school activities.

Communicate effectively with parents regarding students’ progress when required.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree / Postgraduate Diploma / Professional Degree in Education, Malay Language, Linguistics, or related field.

Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in the related field.

Strong knowledge of the Cambridge IGCSE Malay (BM) syllabus and examination format.

Proficient in English , Malay and Mandarin (spoken and written).

Passionate about teaching with strong classroom management skills.

Responsible, proactive, and a team player.
