Seafood Inspector – Quality Assurance Chicken of the Sea Frozen Foods is seeking a

Seafood Inspector

to join our Quality Assurance team. This role is responsible for inspecting finished seafood products, including frozen shrimp, frozen tuna and other fish species as needed, as well as refrigerated pasteurized crab meat, to ensure compliance with product specifications, food safety standards, and applicable regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Inspect finished products against established product specifications and review laboratory results to ensure compliance with applicable standards and FDA regulations Accurately document inspection findings in a timely and well-organized manner Communicate inspection results and concerns clearly and professionally with internal teams and suppliers; escalate significant issues to management as appropriate Support compliance with FDA seafood regulations, including HACCP requirements Travel to supplier and processing facilities as required, including the ability to stay away from the home base for extended periods Perform administrative tasks within the ERP system and applicable online portals Demonstrate a willingness to learn and support processing reviews and facility audits, including regulatory audits Participate in weekly Quality Assurance team meetings Experience & Qualifications Strong written and verbal English communication skills, including the ability to write clear inspection reports and communicate effectively. Experience inspecting seafood products, with a preference for frozen shrimp, frozen fish, and refrigerated pasteurized crab meat. Hands-on manufacturing or seafood processing plant experience is a plus. Knowledge of FDA Seafood HACCP regulations (21 CFR Part 123), food safety, sanitation, and seafood processing Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams Reporting Structure This position reports to the Quality Assurance Manager-Asia
