As a Product Designer, you'll craft seamless, visually appealing experiences for our mobile and web platforms, making one-click payments a breeze. Working with product and engineering teams, you'll take design concepts from idea to launch, ensuring every interaction feels effortless and intuitive for our users.

We're looking for someone with 5+ years of experience in product design, ideally in payments or tech. You should have a strong eye for mobile design (iOS and Android), great storytelling skills to pitch your ideas, and a knack for turning feedback into even better designs. What your current role should be like?

Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and marketing teams to design user-centered experiences that align with business goals and elevate the customer journey Develop and maintain UI designs for web and mobile platforms, with a strong focus on intuitive, seamless, and visually engaging interactions Conduct user research, collect feedback, and iterate on designs to improve user experience and ensure alignment with user needs Translate complex workflows into clear, visually appealing interfaces that enhance usability and brand consistency Exhibit a strong understanding of design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch) and prototyping software, creating interactive wireframes and prototypes to communicate design concepts effectively Stay updated with industry trends and design best practices, proactively applying these insights to continuously improve product design Ideally, demonstrate prior experience in mobile design for iOS and Android, focusing on optimizing designs for both platforms Communicate design ideas and user feedback clearly to stakeholders, balancing design creativity with practical execution Experience in a consumer-facing tech environment, ideally from a 0-1 product development phase

What will you do?

Design industry-leading mobile patterns and experiences that make it easier for our users to run their tara oneclick and tara app Shape the mobile roadmap by prototyping and pitching new ideas we haven't even thought of yet, and gaining cross-functional buy-in Independently lead design initiatives for the team from shaping through execution; partnering closely with engineering and product team through implementation Partner closely with product and engineering to shape and define team strategy and roadmaps Turn ambiguous problems into concrete products, from proposal, to kick-off, vision, building, and launch Participate in design reviews and share your work regularly with design and company leadership Work closely with our partner teams, including Dashboard, Payments, Billing, and more, to create an end-to-end experience that feels coherent Sometimes work on very broadly defined, loose concepts, and sometimes on narrowly defined, tactical deliverables Focus on what you do best — whether that's sketches, wireframes, prototypes, designs, or code—and you'll have the opportunity to sharpen the skills you're looking to develop Work in a highly collaborative fashion with the design, product, and project teams across Stripe Partner closely with user researchers, content designers, brand designers, and other disciplines

Requirements

What do you have?

Has 5+ years relevant design experience at a payment industry product-driven tech company is a must Skilled in explaining your work, process, and decisions to cross-functional partners and stakeholders with a great storytelling; crave feedback to help you produce your best work Experience in being a strategic partner to product teams and idea forming Strong written and verbal communication skills, and can clearly & succinctly present concepts to the broader product and design team (both english and bahasa indonesia) An innate understanding of the end-to-end design process - from identifying customer needs, jobs-to-be-done and pain points to delivering exceptional customer experiences Has strong craft and visual design skills Has previous experience designing and building for mobile applications across both iOS, Android, and Website Comfort with an iterative design process that includes accepting and acting on feedback Has design systems experience would be a huge advantage Comfortable presenting work to senior stakeholders (including external partners) regularly Has experience working in environments where teams/products are still trying to find product market fit Familiarity with development and payment applications and/or e-commerce platforms Nice to have: experience with product testing and validation
