About the Role
The Head of Wind Farm Operations serves as the overall site leader responsible for the safe, reliable, and compliant operation of the Sidrap Wind Farm.
The role oversees asset performance, operations and maintenance strategy, contractor governance, HSSE compliance, financial management, and regulatory obligations to ensure the wind farm consistently delivers its operational and commercial commitments.
Strategically, the position protects revenue, cash flow, and contractual exposure by ensuring full compliance with PLN PPA requirements, lender covenants, grid codes, and regulatory standards, while optimizing long-term asset performance.
This role also acts as the primary interface with PLN, regulators, OEM partners, contractors, and local authorities, strengthening stakeholder confidence and supporting long-term operational sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
Wind Farm Operations Leadership
Lead the safe, reliable, and optimal operation of the wind farm to achieve availability, energy yield and performance KPIs.
O&M Strategy & Asset Performance
Oversee operations and maintenance strategy, contractor performance, SLAs, warranty management, and maintenance planning to maximize asset reliability and energy output.
HSSE Leadership
Ensure full compliance with safety, health, security, and environmental (HSSE) standards while fostering a strong safety culture across site operations.
PPA & Grid Compliance
Manage Power Purchase Agreement obligations including dispatch coordination, curtailment management, metering accuracy, settlement processes, and grid code compliance with PLN.
Financial & Operational Governance
Own OPEX budget control, cost optimization initiatives, and support CAPEX lifecycle planning to ensure efficient asset management.
Asset Lifecycle Management
Drive structured asset lifecycle management aligned with ISO 55000 principles, including proactive risk identification and mitigation.
Digital Performance Monitoring
Oversee SCADA and condition monitoring systems (CMS), performance analytics, and structured reporting to management, lenders, and shareholders.
Stakeholder & Regulatory Engagement
Act as the primary operational interface with PLN, regulators, OEM partners, contractors, local authorities, and internal corporate teams.
Team Leadership & Capability Building
Lead and develop the site operations team, strengthen governance processes, and build long-term operational capability.
Location
Primary Location: Sidrap Wind Farm (site-based)
Travel Requirement: Periodic travel to Jakarta, Makassar, and supplier locations
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related discipline)
Master’s degree in Engineering, Energy Management, or Business Administration is preferred
Professional certifications in asset management, power system operations, or HSSE are advantageous
Experience
Minimum 15 years of experience in power generation or energy infrastructure
At least 5 years in senior operational leadership roles within power generation assets
Strong experience with PLN PPA implementation and grid code compliance
Proven track record optimizing availability, reliability, and performance of multi-megawatt power plants
Strong knowledge of high-voltage systems, electrical safety, and maintenance contract governance
Demonstrated capability in stakeholder engagement, regulatory coordination, and contractor management
