General Accounting Assistant Manager (Fuel Retail / SPBU)
Position Purpose
To manage and supervise operational accounting activities, including External & Internal Accounts Payable and Tenant Accounts Receivable, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulations. The role supports the Accounting Manager in financial reporting, internal control, and financial performance monitoring to ensure reliable financial statements and effective decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operational Accounting
Oversee daily accounting records and transactions
Supervise External & Internal Accounts Payable processes
Supervise Tenant Accounts Receivable recording
Manage fixed asset accounting for gas station operations
Ensure accuracy of adjusting entries (accruals, prepaid, depreciation, amortization)
2. Closing & Financial Reporting
Coordinate monthly closing activities to ensure timely completion
Review trial balance, general ledger, and sub-ledgers
Oversee PSAK 73 / IFRS 16 lease accounting
Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
Maintain Balance Sheet integrity through regular account reviews
Analyze monthly financial performance
3. Internal Control & Compliance
Ensure accounting process compliance with internal policies
Monitor AP, AR, and inventory movements versus physical stock
Support internal and external audits
Assist in monitoring actual results versus budget
4. Tax Support
Ensure accounting data supports tax reporting (VAT, WHT Art. 21, 23, 25, 4(2))
Coordinate with tax team on invoice tax treatment and fiscal reconciliation
5. Systems & Process Improvement
Supervise ERP/Accounting system usage
Propose improvements to accounting processes and internal controls
Guide AP teams (fuel & non-fuel) on invoicing and reimbursements
Support financial system enhancements and implementations
Conduct site audits / spot checks
Job Requirements
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting
Minimum 2 years of experience in supervisory or junior–mid level management
Experience in retail, FMCG, or fuel retail industry is preferred
Strong understanding of PSAK and accounting principles
Experience handling multi-outlet accounting operations
Proficient in bank, cash, and inventory reconciliations
Understanding of POS–Accounting system integration
Strong financial statement analysis skills
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (Dynamics GP / SAP / Accurate / Oracle, etc.)
Basic knowledge of Indonesian taxation (VAT, WHT, PB1)
Detail-oriented with strong internal control awareness
Strong leadership and team coordination skills
Able to work under tight deadlines
