Senior Azure Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

We are looking for a skilled

Senior Azure Cloud Engineer

to design, build, secure, and optimise our cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure. You will hold relevant Microsoft Azure certifications and play a critical role in architecting scalable, secure, and highly available systems that support modern applications and data platforms.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a

hands‑on Azure DevOps‑driven environment , enjoys automation, and is passionate about building resilient cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement scalable Azure cloud infrastructure

Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Bicep, or ARM templates

Manage and optimise Azure services (App Services, AKS, VMSS, Functions, VMs, Storage, Networking, etc.)

Implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions

Ensure security best practices (RBAC, Key Vault, NSGs, Defender, policy management)

Monitor system performance, reliability, and cost optimisation

Support containerised workloads (Docker, Kubernetes)

Collaborate with development teams to improve cloud‑native architecture

Maintain disaster recovery and backup strategies

Document architecture and operational processes

Required Skills & Experience Fluent in written and spoken English

5+ years of experience working with Microsoft Azure

Strong understanding of cloud networking, identity, and security

Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar CI/CD tools

Hands‑on experience with Infrastructure as Code

Experience with containers (Docker) and Kubernetes (AKS)

Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights)

Experience with working with different programming languages such as C# and PHP.

Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail

Nice to Have

Experience with microservices architecture

Experience with serverless architectures

Knowledge of cost optimisation strategies

Experience in regulated or enterprise environments
