Chinese Translator/Personal Assistant

Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Chinese Translator/Personal Assistant, located in Jakarta, Indonesia. The role involves providing language translation and interpretation (Chinese to Indonesian and vice versa) for both verbal and written communications, supporting the management team in daily professional tasks, and coordinating internal and external meetings or events. The Translator/Personal Assistant will manage schedules, prepare documents, and act as a liaison to facilitate effective communication between Chinese and Indonesian-speaking stakeholders. Administrative duties and other ad-hoc responsibilities may also be required to support the team effectively.

Qualifications Fluency in Mandarin Chinese (spoken and written), as well as proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia and English Strong communication, translation, and interpretation skills across cultural and business contexts Proven ability in scheduling, administrative tasks, and managing priorities effectively Experience in planning, organizing, and coordinating meetings or events Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.) High attention to detail and organizational skills Adaptability to work in a dynamic and professional environment Bachelor’s degree in Chinese Language, Linguistics, International Business, or a related field Prior experience in translation or personal assistance roles, and knowledge of architectural or engineering terminology, are preferred but not required English fluency is strongly preferred but not required Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across diverse teams
