Mechanical Piping Engineer

Qualifications

Has at least a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Has minimum 3 years of work experience doing Mechanical & Piping for the EPC Project.

Has experience as an EPC company specialist for WTP and WWTP will be an advantage.

Familiar with Piping Specification and Piping Procedures.

Willing to operate on site and travel for supervision and pre-commissioning activities.

Responsibilities

Perform mechanical & piping engineering/design, including piping calculations and preparation of tender documents.

Develop mechanical & piping design criteria and review/issue basic–detail–construction drawings (P&ID, isometric, GA, support).

Review P&ID/flow sheet to define equipment specifications, utilities, and accessories.

Select mechanical equipment according to design criteria and applicable standards.

Provide technical review for layout to ensure proper equipment arrangement, safety, and accessibility.

Prepare BOM, material take-off, and costing documents.

Prepare ITP for mechanical quality control and provide guidelines for testing & commissioning.

Have knowledge of piping materials, valve specs, tanks, skids; familiarity with pumps, blowers, dosing systems, pressure vessels, and UF/NF/RO membrane systems is an advantage.
