Explore Group has partnered exclusively with a fast-scaling, product-led fintech to support them with the hire of an experienced Senior Site Reliability Engineer. The business continues to see strong growth across the UK and Europe, delivering enterprise-grade financial platforms that process high volumes of secure, real-time transactions at scale. Following continued commercial success and increased customer adoption, they are now expanding their platform engineering function and looking to onboard an experienced Senior SRE.

The Role:

You will join a high-performing engineering team responsible for maintaining and evolving a production-grade, cloud-native infrastructure that underpins mission-critical fintech solutions. The role will involve managing and optimising distributed systems, improving reliability and performance, and ensuring platform stability across multiple environments.

You will work extensively with Kubernetes-based infrastructure, infrastructure as code, monitoring and observability tooling, and event-driven cloud systems. The position will play a key role in incident management, root cause analysis, automation, and driving continuous improvement across the platform.

Requirements: • 5+ years’ experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Cloud Infrastructure roles • Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes (EKS preferred) • Experience deploying and managing infrastructure using Terraform and Helm/FluxCD (or ArgoCD) • Proven experience operating within AWS environments • Strong understanding of monitoring and observability tools such as DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana, and logging stacks (ELK or CloudWatch) • Experience handling incident management, RCA, and postmortems • Solid understanding of networking concepts and distributed systems • Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines • Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python, Go, or Node.js) • Experience supporting high-availability, high-throughput production systems
