What you do as a
Lead Mechanical Engineer
You will be responsible for overseeing and managing all mechanical engineering aspects of data centre building projects. Project responsibility will be varied from inception of defining a clientโs design brief to inspections, specifications, design, and management of projects. This role requires someone with the ability to lead a team of engineers, deliver quality & robust deliverables, and ensure that all project milestones are met on time and within budget.
Role objectives include:
Providing leadership to the Indonesia Mechanical Engineering team.
Maintaining effective communication and relationship with our global teams (NL, GER & UK)
Provide technical leadership on projects
Providing technical leadership, mentoring, and coaching to design engineers or technologists
Business development support including input into bids and proposals
There will be a requirement to support our global teams (NL, GER & UK) on Data Centre projects
Manage and deliver the mechanical work packages in multiple projects.
Your responsibilities will include:
Design and develop Mechanical system for new and existing data centers;
Manage and deliver the mechanical work packages in multiple projects.
Identify the scope, design, and management objectives and delivering project documentation to ensure the quality and flow of information required for contractors, vendors, and regulatory authorities.
Production of design calculations, sketch drawings, details of drawings using relevant software (Revit, BIM360, IES, etc) including checking and reviewing of these prior to issue where completed by others.
Write technical specifications and reports.
Assist the project manager in the preparation/review of project costs, risk assessments.
Develop and maintaining vendor relationships to ensure continuous technical professional development.
Review contractor pre-qualifications and preparing tender evaluation summaries for tender reviews.
Evaluate proposals and recommendations to the client regarding vendor selection.
Write technical specifications for tenders.
Represent RHDHV on factory acceptance tests and site testing & commissioning activities.
Communicate the status of projects to internal directors and external stakeholders (clients) on an ad-hoc and formal basis.
Your contributions won't be limited to project involvement alone, as you will also play a key role in optimizing our internal business processes and sharing knowledge within your field. By doing so, we aim to ensure continuous growth and development for both our company and our team members
Where you will work
You will become part of our global Mission Critical Facilities (MCF) team, who provide a multidisciplinary package of consultancy services for our data centre clients. We provide strategic, tactical, and operational advice to our clients, including colocation data centres, internet service providers, and telecom companies. Our team consists of colleagues with all kinds of different expertise. For example, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, construction, civil, structure, building, architecture, fire safety, control engineering, and security technology. Together we use our knowledge and expertise to develop integrated designs for Data Centres.
You will be based in our office in South Jakarta , being part of, and contributing to, our expanding MCF team in Indonesia. As our clients are based in various locations nationally and internationally, flexibility towards traveling is expected
What you bring

Technical competencies
A bachelor and/or masterโs degree in mechanical engineering.
Minimum 10 years of experience designing mechanical systems for data centers or similar critical facilities.
Proficient in standards for Data Center such as Uptime, TIA-942;
Good knowledge of standard practices in the design and construction industry;
Good understanding of the daily (operational) business of our clients;
Result oriented and have a proactive problem-solving attitude
