At MASSHIRO&Co., we are looking for a detail-oriented and technically strong

Product Development & Technical Designer

to support our growing collections. This role plays a critical part in translating design vision into precise, production-ready garments while maintaining our brand’s fit and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Product Development & Design Translation

Translate design concepts and technical drawings into clear and accurate technical specifications. Create, review, and maintain detailed tech packs including measurements, construction details, trims, and sewing instructions. Ensure technical accuracy from development stage to production handover.

2. Fit, Measurement & Size Control

Monitor and control size specifications, measurement points, and grading directions. Responsible for revisions during Toll Gate 2 and ensure updates are accurately reflected in CLO 3D. Support fit sessions and conduct detailed fit evaluations across all product categories. Provide clear, structured, and actionable fit comments for Pattern Makers, Sample Room, and vendors. Maintain consistent fit standards aligned with MASSHIRO&Co.’s brand identity.

3. Physical Sampling

Review and evaluate Proto, SMS, and PP samples from a technical perspective. Coordinate with factories to resolve technical issues during development. Propose alternative materials and/or construction methods to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

4. Technical Documentation & Systems Management

Collect and organize sample materials, swatches, and build a structured product library. Update and maintain all technical documentation including measurement charts, construction standards, BOM, and tech packs. Systematically document and categorize fitting photos. Maintain organized folders for each style (design files, patterns, fitting notes, approvals) to ensure smooth and accurate handovers.

Requirements

Mandatory: Proficient in CLO 3D. Strong technical knowledge in garment construction, pattern making, and fit evaluation. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Able to work closely with cross-functional teams and external vendors. Experienced in handling technical documentation and development processes
