Senior Associate, Strategy & Planning

Job Description Business Function Group Planning supports the Bank in the origination and execution of key strategic transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, investments and joint ventures, divestments, capital management and other ad-hoc strategic initiatives, to maximize the Bank's financial and competitive position.

Responsibilities

To support the Head of Strategy and Planning in carrying out his duties to assist the BOD/bank management in matters related to the formulation and implementation of strategic initiatives, including project management support

Working with Management to develop and frame overall strategy for the Bank

Drive the submission for annual regulatory reports (RBB/ RPPB), including ongoing monitoring and quarterly reporting

Partner with BU/ SU to drive new business initiatives

Lead due diligence for any potential acquisitions

Ongoing monitoring and periodic reporting for governance related matters (e.g., RBBR, Corporate Plan, etc.)

Ensuring that strategies and plans are in place to create maximum value for DBSI from current/existing businesses

Assist and contribute to development of strategy for the Bank

Prioritize and plan key strategic initiatives to enhance performance of the Bank in line with the agreed strategy

Drive the management framework for monitoring, and measuring progress of key strategic initiatives for enhanced business performance

Supporting new business development strategies including various growth opportunities and options:

Developing perspectives on various opportunities and conducting business and financial evaluations of specific proposals

Implementation and support of strategic initiatives and projects, incl. overseeing/coordinating various initiatives undertaken by business units and support functions

Integrating Group research to provide a broader and deeper understanding of the market, identifying opportunities and risks, enhancing competitive analysis to foster innovation and collaboration, as well as data/ insights driven strategic decision-making

Requirements

Minimum 8 years of experience in banking and at least 5 years of experience in related areas (i.e. strategy, corporate planning, project management, etc.)

Bachelor's Degree from reputable university
