Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a
Sales Engineer
based in BSD city, Tangerang. The Sales Engineer will play a key role in driving revenue growth by combining technical expertise with strong sales execution.
Day-to-day responsibilities include engaging with potential and existing clients, understanding operational pain points, delivering product demonstrations, and preparing tailored technical and commercial proposals. The role requires close collaboration with the product, engineering, and operations teams to ensure solutions meet customer requirements and can be implemented effectively.
As a growing startup, this role also involves contributing to early sales processes, helping shape go-to-market strategies, and building long-term relationships with key accounts in the IoT ecosystem.
Qualifications
Minimum 2–3 years of proven sales experience in the IoT, telematics, fleet management, SaaS, or related technology sectors, with the ability to bring or access an existing customer base in this industry
Strong background in Sales (especially in Tech/IoT Sector) including translating customer operational needs into technical solutions
Demonstrated ability to drive
end-to-end sales cycles,
from lead generation and pitching to negotiation and deal closing
Excellent
communication and presentation skills , capable of explaining technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Experience conducting
product demos, proof-of-concepts (PoC), and solution workshops.
Comfortable working in a
startup environment:
resourceful, adaptable, hands-on, and able to wear multiple hats
Strong understanding of IoT systems, GPS/fleet tracking, sensors, data platforms, or AI-based operational tools
Ability to collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to align customer expectations with product capabilities
Results-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and manage multiple opportunities simultaneously
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field is preferred
