Who We’re Looking For?

Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.

Preferably has 10+ years of experience in Operational Safety roles and wastewater treatment plant, with a minimum of 2 years in a head position (managerial level) based in Oleochemical Industry or FMCG Industry

Fluent in English,

Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and HSE management systems (ISO 14001, ISO 45001.

Able to use MS Office, SIMPEL, SIRAJA Programs actively.

Able to come to our site in Sei Mangkei, Simalungun, North Sumatera

What You’ll Be Doing? The HSE Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and programs to ensure compliance with legal requirements, company standards, and best practices. This role also oversees Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) and Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) operations to ensure environmental compliance and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and continuously improve HSE policies, procedures, and systems in line with local regulations and company standards.

Ensure compliance with all applicable health, safety, and environmental laws and regulations.

Oversee the operation, monitoring, and compliance of WWTP and ETP, ensuring treated water meets regulatory discharge standards.

Monitor wastewater quality, environmental parameters, and laboratory test results; ensure proper reporting to authorities.

Manage permits, licenses, and environmental documentation related to WWTP, ETP, and emissions.

Lead risk assessments, hazard identification, and incident investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Conduct safety inspections, audits, and environmental monitoring activities.

Lead emergency preparedness and response planning, including drills and environmental spill response.

Promote safety and environmental awareness through training, communication, and employee engagement programs.

Coordinate with operations, engineering, contractors, and external service providers related to WWTP and ETP.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives in waste reduction, water efficiency, and environmental performance.

Act as the main point of contact for external auditors, regulators, and certification bodies (e.g. ISO 14001 & ISO 45001).
