What You Will Do
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on production line equipment, packaging machines, process machines, and plant utility systems to ensure optimal plant operations, equipment reliability, and minimal downtime.
This role supports smooth production activities by troubleshooting mechanical and electrical breakdowns, conducting root cause analysis, and ensuring all maintenance activities are performed safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production line, packaging machines, and process equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical breakdowns on production, packaging, and process machines.
Maintain and troubleshoot plant utility systems, including air compressors, boilers, chillers, HVAC systems supporting production, water systems, and related utility equipment.
Conduct root cause analysis on equipment failures and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Support production teams during machine breakdowns to minimize downtime and ensure operational continuity.
Develop and execute preventive maintenance plans to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) for work order management, preventive maintenance tracking, and documentation.
Maintain accurate maintenance logs, inspection records, and spare part requisitions.
Ensure compliance with safety procedures, safe work practices, and proper use of tools and personal protective equipment.
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment performance and plant reliability.
Required Qualifications
2–4 years of experience in maintenance within a manufacturing or production environment.
Hands-on experience maintaining and troubleshooting packaging machines and/or process machines.
Experience handling plant utility systems in a manufacturing setting.
Strong troubleshooting skills in both mechanical and electrical systems.
Experience using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
Understanding of production process flow and machine integration.
Experience handling breakdown situations and minimizing production downtime.
Desired Qualifications
Experience in FMCG or manufacturing industry.
Basic knowledge of PLC troubleshooting.
Experience in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with production teams.
Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and adapt to changing priorities.
