Job Description
We are seeking a Marketing Automation Developer who will be responsible for implementing, integrating, and optimizing customer engagement platforms such as MoEngage, Insider, and Braze. The ideal candidate will work closely with marketing, data, and product teams to design, develop, and maintain personalized communication journeys that enhance customer engagement and retention.
Key Responsibilities
* Platform Management:
Configure, customize, and manage marketing automation tools — primarily MoEngage, Insider, and Braze — across multiple products and customer segments.
* Campaign Development:
Build, test, and deploy event-driven campaigns, push notifications, in-app messages, email journeys, and SMS flows.
* Integration & Automation:
Work with APIs, SDKs, and data pipelines to ensure seamless integration between customer engagement platforms, backend systems, and data warehouses.
* Data & Segmentation:
Collaborate with analytics teams to define audience segmentation logic, manage user attributes, and ensure accurate real-time data flow.
* Performance Optimization:
Monitor campaign performance metrics (open rate, CTR, conversion) and collaborate with marketing teams to improve personalization and automation logic.
* Collaboration & Governance:
Support marketing and product squads in experimentation, ensuring proper tagging, event tracking, and compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., PDPA, GDPR).
Requirements
* Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
* Experience: 3–6 years of experience in a developer or technical marketing role with hands-on experience in:
* MoEngage – Campaign orchestration, segmentation, and event-based triggers
* Insider – Onsite personalization, journeys, and predictive segmentation
* Braze – API integration, REST endpoints, campaign automation, and Liquid templating
Technical Skills:
* Proficient in JavaScript, JSON, REST APIs, and SDK integration (iOS/Android/Web)
* Familiarity with SQL, Firebase, Google Tag Manager, or Segment/CDP tools
* Experience with data mapping, ETL pipelines, or cloud functions is a plus
* Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with an eye for detail
* Excellent collaboration and communication skills across cross-functional teams
Nice to Have
* Experience integrating customer data platforms (CDPs) such as Segment, mParticle, or Tealium
* Knowledge of A/B testing frameworks and analytics tools (GA4, Mixpanel, Amplitude)
* Exposure to marketing workflows in BFSI, retail, or SaaS domains
